Description Starting at Rushop Edge trackway we cross moorland on paved slabs, have views at Brown Knoll trigg point, bear left to Edale Cross and Oaken Clough ancient trackway, descend to Coldwell Clough, and have a steep climb to break for lunch on the wind-sheltered hillside. Climb up to two Ethels with great views; Mount Famine and South Head before returning to the carpark along the pennine bridleway.

Additional Information Space for up to 15 cars but car share where possible.
If travelling from Sheffield strongly advise continuing driving down the road a quarter mile past the actual car parking area, and turn your car around at the next road junction (on the right at Slackhall farm) to retrace driving back up the road to park.
The trackways consist of loose rocky stones so wear stout supportive footwear.
There are two tall stiles to climb.

Dogs on short leads.
For water there is one stream mid-way.
