| Walk Name | Porter Brook and The Limb Valley |
| Description | A lovely walk that explores both the Limb and Porter Valleys. The walk is on good paths throughout with moderate climbs and one steep descent. Starting from Whirlow Brook Hall we join the Limb Valley and ascend to the Norfolk Arms pub on Ringinglow Road. From there we go down Jacob’s ladder which is a steep grassy slope (likely to be slippy after rain) to join the Porter Brook Valley. We walk along the valley as far as Forge Dam where we will stop for coffee. After the stop we leave the valley and head back to Whirlow Brook Park via, Castle Dyke and Coit Lane. There is the opportunity for coffee and cake at The Shelter Café after the walk. |
