Date 03/01/2025
Start Time 10:00 am
Walk Name Mill Hill and lantern pike
Description From the car park we follow the Pennine Bridleway through Hayfield and climb gently to the start of the trespass route. We continue to climb with views of Kinder reservoir and the downfall in the distance. After a brief coffee we start the accent of William Clough crossing the stream multiple times, this is steep and rocky in places. At the top we head to Mill Hill (Ethel), and then head for Burnt Hill, and descend into the valley to re-join the
Pennine Bridleway. After lunch we pop up Lantern Pike to admire the views and then return to the start along the river.
