First Aid and OS App training (Free)

We are now offering free First Aid and OS App training to paid-up ramblers members.

Please email sheffield40swg@gmail.com to express an interest stating clearly which training you would like to be involved in.

Give us a try for free - we are friendly and have a wide range of walks for all abilities. After three free walks, you will need to join Ramblers to continue walking with us.

A: under 9 miles	1: easy
B: 9 to 12 miles	2: medium
C: over 12 miles	3: hard

Wanted - New Walk Leaders!

Would you be interested in joining our fantastic group of walk leaders?

No special experience or qualifications are needed as we will give you all the help and advice you need. You must, however, be a Ramblers Association member for insurance purposes.

You don't have to lead loads of walks, just as many as you feel comfortable with. If you want to know more, please contact us on the group e-mail: sheffield40swg@gmail.com

Travel Expenses

Walk leaders doing recces of walks and paths can claim travel expenses at up to 45p per mile or receipts for public transport.

Ramblers rules are that there are no travel expenses for recces for walks at group weekends-away and group holidays.

Cycle mileage rates are up to 20p per mile

Please use the expense forms which can be downloaded from the links in the box above. You can do it as an Excel spreadsheet or print the PDF, fill it in and scan it / send us an email.
