| Start Time | 10:30 am - LATE START |
| Walk Name | Tuesday day walk. |
| Description | Starting from the Fairholmes Visitor Centre, we follow the path along Derwent Reservoir for around two miles before joining a quieter path alongside Abney Brook. The route then climbs steadily up onto Derwent Edge. Once on the edge, we enjoy roughly three miles of spectacular ridge walking with wide-ranging views across the Peak District. Although there are a few steep climbs on the ascent to Derwent Edge, the hard work is done once you reach the top, with no further climbing for the remainder of the walk. The route then descends towards Ladybower Reservoir before returning to Fairholmes This is a quieter approach to Derwent Edge but can be windy. If the weather stays nice it will be lovely with a breeze. |
