| Description | Head into the village passing the public toilets and head East to Highway Lane and onto Ballidon village and the B5056 to head up Pasture Lane. After crossing pasture land we’ll be in Brassington where we then head up the lane to Manystones Lane and onto the High Peak Trail (West). We are now at the highest point of this route, it’s all down hill now. On the trail we pass along side Peak Quarry Farm, Longcliffe, Longcliffe Farm, Daisy Bank and not long after take the Minninglow Lane and shortly after head South passing Roystone Grange and Ballidon Quarry. At the quarry main entrance we head across fields to Monsdale Lane and back into Parwich for a well earned pint or two. Four ascents, not steep going towards Manystones Lane and one long gentle descent from Minninglow Lane to Parwich. |
