| Walk Name | Cave Dale and Starvehouse mine trig |
| Description | Starting in the heart of Castleton, this rewarding Peak District walk climbs through the dramatic limestone gorge of Cave Dale. The steep-sided valley soon opens onto high pasture and old mining ground, with wide views across the Hope Valley as you continue towards Starve House Mine and its nearby trig point. From here, the route follows quieter upland paths before descending into the grassy valley of Pindale, passing remnants of the area’s rich lead-mining history. A varied walk with rocky scenery, open moorland views, and a real sense of Peak District heritage. |
