| Description | 7 to 14 March is national trust/ lottery week. Buy a lottery ticket and bring along to enter Stainbrough castle. Bring your NT membership if you are a member. We walk through Wortley hall grounds and onto the Timberland trail carrying on through fields and woods to Stainbrough. When we arrive at the Wentworth/Stainbrough grounds we will visit the castle monument through the gardens. We will have lunch here as there is a cafe and toilets. More fields and woods to Crane moor and back to Wortley for drink in the pub. A few undulations but nothing too difficult. Expect some mud. |
