| Description | If you fancy a scenic walk mixed with boggy places (emulating my mentor J. S.’ style), then please join! Circular route: From the car park we will take the Roman Road to Hayridge Farm, and then take the footpath to Alport Farm, then go up to Alport Castles. After that we will walk to the trig point and continue walking on Alport Moor (Grains in the Water, The Swamp) to take the Pennine Way. From there we will go back via the Old Woman and on the Edges of Alport Moor to the car park. |

| Additional Information | Sturdy boots and gaiters are essential. Please bring a head torch, just in case, as daylight hours in November are significantly shorter. Please ensure you are fully booted and equipped, ready to start walking by 9:00 am. We will begin promptly at 9:00 am sharp. There will be a walk briefing at 8:57 am. Please note: the walk leader will not wait for late arrivals. Please bring plenty of food and water. Dogs are not permitted on this walk. |
