| Description | This Peak District walk explores Ramsley Moor, Big Moor, and Flask Edge, offering scenic views across Derbyshire and towards Sheffield. The route begins by parking at Shillito Woods for those driving. It passes through two disused reservoirs—Ramsley and Barbrook—both decommissioned in 2003, now left as nature reserves. We follow tracks past Barbrook Cottage, through some boggy terrain, and navigate minor road crossings near Barbrook Bridge and Flask Edge. After reaching Flask Edge’s trig point and enjoying panoramic views, the route joins the Sheffield Country Walk and continues towards Moor Edge Farm. The final stretch follows Horsleygate Road and woodland paths, eventually leading back to the starting point at Shillito Woods. |
