| Description | From the CP, a short walk brings us to Thorpe and then on the Limestone Way via Coldwell Bridge to Blore where we may “meet” the King’s ancestors. Then via Musden and Calton Green to Soles Hollow (slow going due to limestone spurs) to Beeston Tor joining the Manifold Trail to Rushley and Ilam. From Ilam, the route uses the lower slopes of Thorpe Cloud to return to the CP. Depending on the weather, it may be possible to summit Thorpe Cloud. |

| Start Point Details | Car park at Narlows Lane, Thorpe, near The Old Dog public house. From A515 (Buxton-Ashbourne), turn right at Tissington Gates onto lane signposted Thorpe, Ilam & Dovedale follow this around to Narlows Lane. Ignore P sign to the left just before right hand bend. Car park is on right after the sharp right hand bend (before T junction with The Old Dog opposite) All PDNPA car parks have charges. The car park at Narlow Lane is not free, payment by card or Ringo app |
