Walk Name | Bakewell Christmas Tree Festival |
Description | From Bakewell we head towards Haddon Park along the Monsal Trail, then it’s uphill to Over Haddon past Haddon Barn and across Haddon Fields where we will have superb views of Haddon Hall behind us for our tea stop. Later we’ll have views of the River Lathkill before lunch in Over Haddon. When we get back to Bakewell we’ll go to the Parish Church to see the many Christmas trees in the Christmas tree festival which have been decorated by local groups. They are also selling tea and cakes in the Church so the walk leader will be staying in the Church for a while! Toilets in Over Haddon (honesty box for donations). |
