Start Time | 10:00 am |
Walk Name | Edale to Chinley via Chapel en le Frith |
Description | Station to station over the foothills of the Pennines. We start by catching the 10.17 am train from SHF to Manchester and get out at Edale at 10.49. The walk starts with a steady long steep climb from Edale station up through Chapel Gate to peak at Rushup Edge before starting a steady descent towards Chapel-en-le-Frith and Chinley. We’ll catch the train back (I guess the 16.21, maybe the 17.21 depending on our strolling and mooching pace) to Sheffield. Next month: Return walk from Chinley to Edale via Brown Knoll (similar distance and height) |
