Description | This walk will be rescheduled. " the A57 snake road may be closed. Can I suggest people use the Woodhead Pass road" From Old Glossop we cross the field to the Trans Pennine trail. ( should still be a railway). This is followed to Torside Clough and then up the Pennine Way to Bleaklow Head. This is followed to Hern Clough then up to Higher Shelf Stones and the B29 site. From there to James's Thorn and two further crashes. Then down to the roman road and back to Old Glossop. |

Can I suggest people use the Woodhead Pass road" Entering Glossop from the Snake Pass, take a right turn into Manor Park Road (by the Commercial Inn, before the mini-roundabout) then follow the road round to the right into Shepley Street (by The Queens). We are meeting at the Bus turning circle at the end of Shepley Street. |
