Description | We leave Hope behind... .. . and take the river path into Castleton, a flat-ish path but can be muddy. Castleton, we take the path heading to Winnats Pass but head up a gully (easy scramble) to see into the pass and we'll stop for coffee and the views. (the whole purpose of the walk is now complete but we are not finished). We head towards Windy Knoll but take the Oxlow House path heading for Old Moor where we Bradwell Moor. After crossing flat-ish fields we head down into Bradwell where we'll have lunch (toilets here). It's a flat-ish walk back now into Hope passing the cement works. |

Start Point Details | Hope Pay and Display car park is in centre of Hope on A6187 to Castleton nr pedestrian crossing (cost £6 per day). Meet on corner near toilets. If you arrive early enough there is usually some free roadside parking available in Hope. What3Words - ///seagull.downfield.voted |

Additional Information | If you don't want to do the scramble come along but you'll have to walk up the Winnats Pass road and miss all the views as we look down on.... .. you walking up the road. It is an easy scramble. Not suitable for dogs. Please wear suitable clothing & footwear for this time of year and sunscreen if the weather is hot. Bring water, refreshments & a packed lunch. |
