| Description | We head South from the pub along the road for a few hundred yards then across fields heading for Stunstead Lane. We cross the A5012 and walk up an avenue of 'special trees' then up and over the hill of Green Low and head for Aldwick (coffee stop). Head for Green Farm then Tithe Farm then onto the road for a short distance then pick up the track (before Haven Hoe Farm) heading for Minninglow (short stop weather permitting) then pick up the High Peak Trail and follow it till we get to Mouldridge Lane and head to the A5012 again. Keeping on the grass verge for a short section (busy road section) we head off the road and onto a field path that takes us into Elton. walking through the village and pick up the back lane into the top end of Winster and the pub. This is an undulating route, no steep climbs but they will be stiles along the way. |
