| Description | From the pub we walk through the church yard of St Giles’ and head across the fields to Rowland. Follow the lane towards Hassop Common then head West at Deep Rake following opencast workings and then head to Black Harry Gate. Cavendish Mill next and across Burnt Heath and head along the lane to Housley. Heading South towards Castlegate Farm, across White Rake, Longstone Moor and back into Great Longstone via Dale Farm and fall into the White Lion for a well earned glass of refreshment. |
