Start Time | 6:00 pm |
Walk Name | Longshaw Circular |
Description | This is a relatively gentle walk taking in Longshaw, Surprise View, Carl Wark and Burbage Bridge. The heather is very good at present and the walk is chosen to cover some heathery-bits. It gets dark at 8.30 so bring head torches or walk fast to avoid being be-nighted. The final part of the walk will be on the flat and easy path from Burbage down to Foxhouse, so should be possible to negotiate in twilight if required. Public transport: the 272 leaves Pond Street Bus station at 4.51 to get to Fox House at 5.19. Sorry but you will have to hang around until 6pm. |
